Stafford Loan borrowers who have not yet signed a promissory note.

What is a Master Promissory Note?

The Master Promissory Note (MPN) is a binding, legal document outlining the terms and conditions of your federal Stafford Loan.

Do I need to sign one?

You will sign your promissory note directly with your lender. For more information about your lender choice, log onto VIP, click on Financial and then Stafford Loan Lender Choice. There, you will also find more information about signing your promissory note.

How can I sign my promissory note?

If you have previously signed an MPN and attempt to sign another, you will be advised by your lender.
