Financial Aid & Scholarships

Financial Aid and Scholarships

Good news! Starting with the Fall 2013 semester, you will no longer have to manually apply your financial aid to your account balance. Financial aid will automatically apply once disbursed to your student account if you have completed all requirements with the Financial Aid office. Disbursements will occur in mid-August. If you have completed all of the requirements, your aid should now be listed under Authorized Aid in Self Service Carolina.
Once again, this amount will automatically apply to your account balance in mid-August.
The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships has now gone live in the new One Carolina student information system. Parents and students who completed a FAFSA for the 13-14 school year can now begin to view the status of their application on the Self Service Carolina (SSC) website. As with all new systems, it will take some time to smooth out the rough edges. Please be patient and know that our staff will be working hard to answer all of your questions.

Effective for the fall 2013 semester, all students will be using Self Service Carolina (SSC) to access all their financial aid application information and financial aid requirements, instead of VIP.

To check the status of your financial aid and scholarship information, and view important information regarding what you need to complete your application, visit Self Service Carolina (SSC) and sign in using your VIP ID and password.

If you are unable to acceess SSC, my.sc.edu has been established to assist your transition from VIP to SSC.
