It is required by law that all students receiving Stafford Loans undergo both entrance and exit loan counseling. This counseling provides critical information about your loans and your rights and responsibilities as a student borrower. This counseling can be done on the web at the sites indicated below.

Stafford Entrance Loan Counseling
Before you receive your first Stafford Loan at the University of South Carolina, you must first complete the required Stafford entrance loan counseling.

Stafford Exit Loan Counseling
Near the end of the term you expect to graduate, or if you are withdrawing and you have had a Stafford Loan while at the University of South Carolina, your must complete the requirements for Stafford exit loan counseling.
