Nursing Student Loans
The Nursing Student Loan Program (NSL) is a federal loan program funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. These loans are need-based and available to upper division, undergraduate nursing students and graduate nursing students enrolled either full-time or half-time. The interest rate is fixed at 5% with a 9 month grace period after ceasing at least half-time enrollment before repayment begins and interest begins to accrue.
Loan amounts are subject to annual and cumulative limits.
Borrowers must complete entrance counseling and a promissory note before funds are disbursed and must complete exit counseling when leaving the university. After clicking the link, choose the "Initial Loan Processing" tab.
