The Fitzgeralds maintained large scrapbooks documenting his career from
childhood through Tender is the Night (1934) and photo albums tracing
their peripatetic life from 1920 to 1930. These sources, along with Fitzgerald's
Ledger, provided the materials for The Romantic Egoists (1974), edited by Scottie
Fitzgerald Smith with Matthew J. Bruccoli and Joan Peterson Kerr. Specimen pages
from this volume, subtitled "A Pictorial Autobiography," are provided here. The book
is out of print.
