Remembers
At the request of the victims' families, who have expressed a need for privacy, the University of South Carolina did not release the victims' names until North Carolina officials confirmed their identities. Privacy concerns also prevent the university from displaying photographs of the students.

Moore School unites for 'Walk to Remember' students

Dear Colleagues,

As you all know, the Moore School suffered a tragic loss in the recent fire in North Carolina.  Four undergraduate business students were among the students who perished.  Many of you have expressed a desire to remember our students in a special way.  A memorial has been set up in front of the Russell House.  To honor our students, Justin Anderson, Lauren Mahon, Travis Cale, and Will Rhea, please join the Moore School community in a "Walk to Remember" our dear students.

We will gather on the steps in front of the Moore School on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m. to walk together to the Russell House. A memorial banner for you to sign will be in the Moore School lobby on Thursday, Nov. 1. At the end of our walk together, we will place the signed banner at the memorial site at Russell House and observe a moment of silence.

We hope you can join us on the "Walk to Remember" these bright Moore School lights.

Kind Regards,

Hildy Teegen
Moore School of Business dean

"We Hail Thee Carolina"

We hail thee, Carolina, and sing thy high praise
With loyal devotion, remembering the days
When proudly we sought thee, thy children to be:
Here's a health, Carolina, forever to thee!
