Data Access and Research Services

The National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition provides access to data files whose embargo has been removed to support research on students in transition into and through higher education. 

Data Access Policy and Procedures

External researchers and institutional representatives who would like to request data collected by the National Resource Center to conduct their own analyses must submit an application in accordance with the Center's Data Access Policies and Procedures.

The data files will be released to Principal Investigators (PI) who meet certain criteria and are approved by the National Resource Center. The Center holds the right to refuse a data request, particularly if the research proposal overlaps with any past or current Center projects.

External researchers interested in conducting research using Center data can request access to one of our Currently Available Datasets.
