Former SHCRG Student Member on Planning Committee for Cancer, Culture & Literacy Conference
The 8th Biennial Cancer, Culture & Literacy Conference (CCL), presented by the Moffitt Cancer Center, will be held May 17-19, 2012 in Clearwater Beach, Fla. Dr. Alexis Koskan, a former member of the Science and Health Communication Research Group and a 2011 doctoral graduate of the Arnold School of Public Health, is serving on the planning committee.
“CCL is a great conference for health communication scholars and practitioners to further their understanding and also share experiences related to the intersection of culture, language, and health communication in the cancer care continuum,” said Koskan. “This year's conference features research related to social media and health-related technologies and innovations to advance cancer care.”
Koskan is currently a post-doctoral fellow of Health Outcomes and Behavior at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.
