USC’s Third Annual Nutrition Research Symposium to be Held Friday, March 29
The “Healthy Eating in Context: Bridging Gaps, Linking Communities” symposium, hosted by the USC Center for Research in Nutrition and Health Disparities and the USC Environment and Sustainability, will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
Keynote speaker Dr. Mariana Chilton, Associate Professor of Public Health at the Drexel University School of Public Health and Director of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities, will speak about how “linking communities brings trouble and opportunity.” This event also includes oral and poster presentations, a lunch break designed to strengthen linkages among attendees and an afternoon session with a community panel discussion.
Community members and local organizations are invited to display a community exhibit table.
