Dr. Kendra Albright Named 2011 Rising Star
The University of South Carolina’s Office of Research and Graduate Education has named Dr. Kendra Albright one of 2011’s Rising Stars for her commitment to teaching, research and service.
Each year a handful of faculty members are recognized for their outstanding contributions to USC’s academic community. The USC Rising Stars, who are nominated by other faculty members, are considered some of the university’s most exemplary professors.
Albright is a member of the Science and Health Communication Research Group and an associate professor in the School of Library and Information Science. Her research focuses on ways in which communication contributes to behavioral changes, particularly in those areas involving HIV/AIDS and domestic violence.
This year’s 18 Rising Stars are featured in the Spring 2011 issue of Breakthrough Magazine. To read the article on Dr. Albright and the other honorees, click here.
