The Science and
Health Communication Group is comprised of scholars
from various disciplines on USC’s campus including
journalism, public health, library and information
science, select institute and centers among others.
The primary goal is to increase
multidisciplinary extramural funding and scholarship.
This initiative is coordinated
by the School of Journalism and Mass Communications
in the College of Mass Communications and Information
Studies.
Alexis Koskan discusses her multidisciplinary
research focusing on the effects of H1N1 media
messages. Koskan
is a doctoral student in the Department of Health Promotion,
Education, and Behavior and is also pursuing a Certificate
of Graduate Study in Health Communication.
