University of South Carolina

Swine flu update

The University of South Carolina is working closely with local, state and federal officials to protect the health and safety of our community. At this time, university commencements, as well as other events and gatherings, will take place as planned. However, the university urges everyone to take preventive measure and to self-isolate if they are experiencing flu symptoms.

In addition to health tips and other information on this site, reporters can also learn more from University experts in medicine and public health. The University of South Carolina is fortunate to have some of the leading experts in infectious disease and public health on our faculty.

Our University is well prepared for this issue, and we will continue to update and refine campus plans as new information becomes available.
