The University of South Carolina, by Elizabeth Cassidy West, chronicles Carolina's remarkable history through 200 images of its founders, administrators, faculty, campus, and most importantly, its students.  Drawn extensively from the collections of the USC Archives, some of the images are rarely seen, including the earliest known photograph of a Carolina-Clemson game.  Part of Arcadia Publishing’s Campus History Series, the book is available at area bookstores and at the South Caroliniana Library for $19.99. 

Proceeds from the copies sold through the Caroliniana benefit the Library.  Copies can be signed by the author upon request.
