Dr. Edwin E. Gordon Archive Fund

Edwin & Carol Gordon

Dr. Edwin E. Gordon has established an endowment to support the long-term maintenance of the Dr. Edwin E. Gordon Archive in the Music Library of the USC School of Music.

The Archive reflects the life work of this noted teacher, lecturer, author, and researcher in music education and the psychology of music. It contains all of Gordon’s monographs, method books, journal articles, theses and dissertations he supervised, tests, and video and audio cassette tapes of various workshops and seminars spanning 40 years.

Dr. Gordon’s wife, Carol, has kept meticulous documentation of his work since 1961, so the archive also contains personal items such as correspondence, scrapbooks, and programs from conferences, symposiums, and seminars as well as reviews of Gordon’s books, and newspaper and magazine articles, etc.

For more information about the Archive, please see http://www.sc.edu/library/music/gordon.html.

To make contributions to the Gordon Archive Fund, please go to http://www.sc.edu/library/develop/donate.html or send to Stephanie Learner, Thomas Cooper Library, L504, Columbia, SC 29208.
