The University Libraries have just what you’re looking for! For
Spring 2007, we’re offering a 1 credit course called LIBR 100·Information Literacy. And this year we're offering all
the information in half the time! Classes will meet twice a
week for half of the semester.
Find the statistics, articles, books, government
documents, web sites, etc that you need—not just the first three that
pop up in a search
· Evaluate sources, arguments, and biases
· Know the why, when, and how of citing sources
· Determine what’s worth using, what’s worth further
investigation, and what’s just plain worthless.

meets during the second half of the semester, March13 - April 30) still
has seats available.
LIBR
100 -- Information Literacy. (1) Introduction to methods and
ethics of information research, with emphasis on analyzing and defining
information needs and resources, creating and refining search
strategies, evaluating resources, and synthesizing and citing
information. Admission restricted to undergraduates.
