New One Credit Hour
Course from the Library
Looking For One
Credit? Looking For
Research
Skills? Looking For
Information?
The University Libraries
have just what you're
looking for!
For Spring 2005,
we're offering a 1
credit course (which
will meet once a week,
for 50 minutes) called
Information Literacy.
- Find the
statistics, articles,
books, government
documents, web sites,
etc that you need- not
just the first three
that pop up in a
search
- Evaluate sources,
arguments, and biases
- Know the why,
when, and how of
citing sources
- Determine what's
worth using, what's
worth further
investigation, and
what's just plain
worthless!
