Scope and Content

A collection of more than 1,300 reel-to-reel tapes of big band music collected over a forty-year period. The tapes include recordings of rare radio broadcasts and concerts ("one-night stands") from such famous bandleaders as Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey , Glenn Miller, and Syd Lawrence in addition to thousands of remotes from the big-band era.
