Women in Business

  • American Business Women's Association - Homepage of the American Business Women's Association which provides information about organizational programs and networking opportunities as well as links to Women in Business magazine and education and career resources for women.

  • Business and Professional Women USA - Homepage of the Business and Professional Women USA organization that provides statistics and research on issues affecting women in the workplace and links to Business Women magazine in addition to information about the organization itself.

  • Center for Women's Business Research - Provides research and key facts documenting the economic and social contributions of women-owned firms and links to women business-related organizations and sites.

  • Most Powerful Women in Business - Fortune Magazine's list of 50 most powerful women in business.

  • National Women's Law Center - Homepage for the National Women's Law Center, a non-profit organization that focuses on major concerns of women and girls, including family economic security, education, employment opportunities, and health.  The site provides information, publications, and other resources about numerous issues facing women, including sexual harassment, social security, tax, and women in the military.

  • Online Women's Business Center - Interactive business training web site for entrepreneurial women provided by the Small Business Administration's Office of Women's Business Ownership.  The site provides a directory of women's business training centers, information/resources about starting and running a business, and information about issues women in business face.

  • WomenBiz - Gateway for women-owned business selling to the federal government organized to target the five specific stages that a woman business owner should take to explore whether the federal government is the right customer.

  • Women Employed Online - Homepage of the Women Employed organization which provides research and vital information about women's economic status and rights in the workplace.  The sites also provides information about organizational programs and links to other policy and advocacy sites for women.

  • Women Owned - Search engine of women business owners  and directory of resources for setting up, running, and growing businesses.  

  • Women's Bureau -  Homepage of the U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau, the only federal agency mandated to represent the needs of wage-earning women in the public policy process.  The site provides statistics, data, and links to sites about women in the workforce as well as information about the programs and services the bureau offers for working women.

  • Women Work! - National network for women's employment that provides news, publications, and resources about and for working women.
