The Thomas
Cooper Society



The Thomas Cooper Society serves as a volunteer support organization for the Thomas Cooper Library, encouraging community interest in the library and promoting fuller understanding of its purpose, programs, and potential.

In addition to fostering gifts, endowments, and memorials, the Society sponsors a number of events including special dinner meetings, addresses by prominent individuals, exhibitions, seminars in book-collecting, and fund-raising. To encourage and reward the beginning collector, the Society sponsors an annual book-collecting competition open to all students enrolled in colleges and universities in the state of South Carolina.

Members of the society will receive:

Membership levels include USC Student ($10), Senior High School Student ($20), Individual ($25), Family ($35), Sustaining ($100), Patron ($250), Corporate ($500), and Life ($750). Further information may be had by writing to the following address:
