RUSH RESERVE:
Definition: Rush Reserve signifies Rush materials which are given priority treatment because
they need to be placed on Reserve for a class being taught during the current semester.
Procedure: Acquisitions staff will put Rush Reserve flags in books which warrant this priority
treatment and will place these books on the Rush shelf.
- Such books will be cataloged promptly, generally the same day that they are placed in Cataloging.
- The cataloger will place the cataloged book on the shelf labeled Cataloged Rush Reserve Room.
- At 3:00 each weekday, and LTA II will carry all cataloged Rush Reserve books to Preparations for prompt final
processing.
- Fully processed Rush Reserve materials are carried promptly to Circulation. The flag remains with the book.
