Wireless Library Access
Where is the wireless located?
Thomas Cooper Library has a wireless network available on
all floors of the library, around the fountain in front of the library, and the
grassy areas in front of
the library.
Who can use the wireless?
Students, faculty and staff with a valid network
username and password can bring their laptops into the library and use the
wireless network.
What do I need to use the wireless?

network username and password , VPN,
Clean Access Agent and an SSID

laptop or wireless device with a
128-bit wireless card
- computer must have most recent Microsoft updates.
Will my laptop automatically connect to the network?
No, you will need to obtain your Network Username and a wireless SSID from
your VIP account (technology tab). You will also be prompted to
download some USC security software (Cisco VPN and Clean Access Agent) and any Microsoft critical updates
that are missing from your system. To access step by step instructions

How long will the SSID be valid?
The SSID will only need to be entered once.
However, UTS may change the SSID periodically for security purposes.
