SC Double Reed Day

Double reed players of all ages and abilities are invited to the biennial South Carolina Double Reed Day at USC. You can experience a full day of clinics, reed classes, recitals and master classes for the oboe and bassoon at the fall event.

Activities and classes for beginning, intermediate and advanced reed players ensure a day full of great learning, listening and playing experiences.

A double reed repair specialist gives free instrument adjustments, minor repairs, major repair consultation and sessions on oboe and bassoon maintenance.

School of Music faculty members host this event, which culminates with a double reed ensemble performance by all participants.
