School of Music

Student teacher and student in piano lesson.

Piano Lessons

As part of the Community Music School, this 12-lesson semester is designed for children from age six to adults of all ages. Beginner to advanced-level students can enroll in private lessons, and lessons are scheduled at a time convenient to the student and teacher.

The Community Music School piano division faculty are passionate Carolina undergraduate and graduate students studying piano pedagogy or students with prior teaching experience.

Students participate in a master class, scheduled during the spring semester, and a recital held at the end of each semester. Students have the pleasure of performing in the acoustically pristine USC School of Music Recital Hall on a Steinway grand piano.

Private Lessons

All lessons are given at the USC School of Music and follow the USC academic calendar. Students may select half-hour or one-hour lessons. Once your registration application and fees have been received, your teacher will contact you to arrange a lesson time.

12 half-hour lessons: $260
