Music Conservatory concerts are June 21, 22


Carolina Summer Music Conservatory Faculty Recitals featuring USC School of Music faculty will take place at 7:30 p.m. June 21 and 22 in the School of Music Recital Hall. The School of Music is located at 813 Assembly Street, next to the Koger Center for the Arts, on the University campus.

The concerts are free and open to the public.

The June 21 concert will include Serenade for Horn and Piano by Paul Basier, performed by Robert Pruzin, horn, and Charles Fugo, piano; Sonata No. 8 (1948) by Norman Dello Joio, performed by Aimee Fincher, piano; and Fantabeljin (2006) by Tayloe Harding, performed by Linard McCloud, alto saxophone, and Cynthia Hopkins, flute.

The June 22 concert will include Libertango (2002) by Eric Sammut and Dreaming (1838) by Robert Schumann, performed by John Roberts, marimba; Concerto by Gordon Jacob, performed by Brad Edwards, trombone, and Charles Fugo, piano; Estudio Melodico for Clarinet and Piano, Op. 33 by Miguel Yuste, performed by Joseph Eller, clarinet, and Charles Fugo, piano; and In the Garden of Love (2003) by Jacob ter Veldhuis, performed by Clifford Leaman, soprano saxophone.
