Columbia Cooking offers final summer camp

The last Columbia Cooking summer camp will be Aug. 6-10 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The day will start with a culinary demonstration to teach proper techniques and nutrition information related to foods and cooking. The result of the demonstration will be a healthy snack for campers.

Each day campers will cook a healthy plant-based lunch based on a theme. Plant based does not mean vegetarian, some meat dishes will be prepared.

This year's camp theme: America & Beyond!
Day 1: Walking to New Orleans (recipes from Across America); Day 2: Little Italy; Day 3: Southern Ma'am; Day 4: Tex Mex Day; 5: Globe trotting (recipes from many regions).

No need to send a snack or lunch!

Camp costs $100. Each camper receives a recipe book and either insulated lunch bag or CC! T-shirt as part of camp cost. Columbia Cooking needs 10 campers to hold the camp.

Register by Thursday Aug. 2 at colacook@mailbox.sc.edu or call Carly at 576-5666.
