Scholarships and Endowments
A legacy of service
Bobbi Rossi was in her third year as a nursing student at the University of South Carolina when her life was tragically cut short in 1984. The Columbia native was noted for her zest for life and her vibrant commitment to serving her community.
To honor her, Rossi's family established a scholarship program for upper-division nursing students committed to USC and the community through campus participation and volunteer service.
Rossi embodied a harmonious balance of character, heart, faith and purpose. She had
dedicated her future to healing others through a career in nursing and exemplified
sincerity and tenderness in her endeavor. She also worked as a physical fitness instructor
in college, helping others maintain a good balance between working their minds and
working their bodies.
Rossi was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority at USC. Her sisters nicknamed her the “Sunshine Girl” for bringing radiance and warmth to people she met.
The Bobbi Rossi Memorial Scholarship is just one of dozens available to nursing students,
both graduate and undergraduate, at USC.
