Women's Experiences as Survivors of Violence

    Dr. Mary Boyd, PI

Dr. Boyd’s study, “Women’s Experiences as Survivors of Violence,” will describe the experiences of women survivors of violence.  This study will provide a comprehensive picture of the process of recovering from violence from the perspective of the women who have experienced it, and describe factors that might protect women from developing alcohol and other drug (AOD) disorders.  Through the identification of the differences between women who develop AOD disorders and those who don’t, interventions can be developed to reduce the risk of AOD disorders.
