The
Office of Academic Affairs (OAA), located on the second floor of the Williams
Brice Building, serves the College by providing administrative leadership and
guidance in all academic related activities and in a manner consistent with the
University and College missions and goals.
The
OAA provides a formal mechanism for maintaining cooperative and collaborative
relationships within the College and the University.
Meetings are attended with
the Dean's Administrative Council, College Advisory Committee, the Curricular
Committee, the Student Affairs Committee and the Educational Resources and
Technology Committee. Collaboration occurs with the Office of the Dean of the
Collage, Office of Student Services, and Office of Research. Securing
grants and other funds to support academic programs is an ongoing effort.
The OAA also tracks the development, implementation, and quality of the
academic programs of the College, collaborates with other units of the
University and other institutions on behalf of the academic programs and
provides support and input to individual faculty members, groups of faculty
members, and appropriate committees in the development, revision, and evaluation
of academic courses and programs.
