About the Office of Research
The
Office of Research formalizes the College of Nursing
commitment to generating nursing science by facilitating the
scholarly programs of faculty and providing an environment
supportive of research productivity for faculty and students.
All activities of the Office of Research are aimed at
supporting faculty programs of research that increase
scientific knowledge in health promotion and risk reduction in
special populations.
The major objectives of the Office are to
support the submission of intramural and extramural grant
proposals, facilitate faculty development and scholarly
productivity, assist in analysis of research and evaluation
data, and facilitate knowledge dissemination.
Examples of activities to meet these
goals include provision of expert consultation during all phases of proposal
development, administration of an intramural grant program, weekly research
brown bags, consultation in data management and analysis, peer review of
manuscripts, and sponsorship of visiting scholars.
