Associate Dean for Academics
The Associate Dean for Academics is the chief academic officer and reports directly to the Dean of the College of Nursing. The Academic Dean assumes responsibility for academic program and curricular planning and evaluation, enrollment management, student affairs, faculty development and teaching assignments, organizational assessments, and program accreditation processes related to undergraduate and graduate nursing education, consistent with the College of Nursing mission, strategic goals and objectives.

Master’s, DNP, and PhD programs, with over 200 BSN graduates annually. The Academic Dean is expected to lead the faculty in the strategic development and implementation of curricula that meet the needs of today’s diverse undergraduate and graduate student populations and the demands of complex and changing nursing and healthcare systems.
Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field, be eligible for licensure in South Carolina, be tenure eligible, have excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate leadership expertise and experience. Successful candidates should have extensive teaching and administrative experience in both undergraduate and graduate nursing education and must share a commitment to diversity among students, faculty and staff.
