Associate Professor, Oncology
The University of South Carolina College of Nursing is seeking a mid-career scientist with an active externally funded program of research in cancer across the continuum. A doctoral degree in nursing or related field is required. Candidates are expected to have an established research record.
This tenure-eligible associate professor will join the College's cancer care research team comprised of junior and senior-level researchers with established research programs in oncology. The College, University, and community offer a wide range of opportunities for inter-professional research initiatives, adjunct collaborative research appointments and development of PhD prepared scientists in this critically important area of research.
Resources available to cancer researchers include a research engaged gold-certified
state cancer registry, the South Carolina Cancer Alliance, a CDC-funded Prevention
Research Center, the South Carolina Integrated Data Warehouse, and collaborations with
researchers in an NCI-funded Community South Carolina Cancer Disparities Community
Network and a CDC-funded Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network.
