na·tion·al fel·low·ship: ['naSHənəl] ['felō,Ship]
Noun : A grant of money awarded from outside the University through merit-based national competitions.
Awards are available for both undergraduate and graduate study across all disciplines and can be used at USC or other institutions.
The Office of Fellowship and Scholar Programs (OFSP) exists to make students aware of nationally competitive scholarships, educate students on the application cycle for a variety of scholarships, and support students throughout their application process.
Our advising services are open and targeted toward all academically talented students. OFSP works primarily with undergraduates, graduate students, and recent alumni who have strong academic records and a desire to contribute further in their disciplines and to the greater good of society.
OFSP gives advice on specific national competitions, including matching students with faculty mentors and assisting students through essay review, reflection conversations and interview practice.
