Presidential Candidate Search Committee Meetings

Minutes for Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, 1:35 p.m.
III. Review of Draft Position Advertisement: Chairman Loadholt called on Mrs. Jameson, who distributed a copy of the draft advertisement for the President's position which will be posted in The Chronicle of Higher Education and other selected publications such as Diversity Issues in Higher Education.
She summarized the position description as a one-page announcement which briefly describes the University, the eight campuses, the graduate and undergraduate degree programs, candidate qualifications, and the appropriate addresses to which nominations and applications should be forwarded.
This particular ad will most likely cover one-quarter of a page and will cost approximately $3,200. Mrs. Jameson also noted deadline dates for submitting the announcement to The Chronicle of Higher Education. Secretary Stepp commented that the full Bylaws description is available on the presidential search website.
The Committee supported the immediate submission of this advertisement to the various publications to address timely deadline dates.
