Here you will find helpful information for those who wish to create or designate a Carolina Core Course (“proponents”), those at each level with approval authority over Carolina Core proposals (“approvers”), and those sitting on college or university committees responsible for reviewing the proposals (“committee reviewers”).

Overview of Approval Process
The Flowchart at the link below illustrates how Carolina Core Course proposals move through the approval chain. The Status Summary describes the specific approval stages through which a submitted proposal passes.
Electronic Submission and Approvals
A web-based electronic submission and approval system has been developed to facilitate Carolina Core Course designation. The electronic system has two parts:
Detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to use the electronic system are available for proponents, several types of approvers, and committee members. A list of the Carolina Core Courses that are available for advisement as of April 3, 2013 is also available.
