USC History professors Marjorie Spruilll and Valinda Littlefield,
co-editors (with Joan M Johnson) of SOUTH CAROLINA WOMEN:
THEIR LIVES AND TIMES will discuss their new anthology.
The three volume work includes illuminating stories about women
in the history of South Carolina and the role of gender in shaping
women's lives and the history of the state from the 1500s to the
present. Volume I was published in June 2009: Vol Two will appear
in January 2010. Vol 3 will be published in 2011.
