Students, faculty and staff now have the option to purchase select Microsoft software online through VIP using their CarolinaCard. This software is for personal use on your personal computer.
Here’s how:
- Login to VIP
- Click on Technology
- Choose "Show Me Software Distribution"
- Scroll through the Microsoft titles that are available
- Follow the prompts to purchase this software

- Microsoft Office Standard 2007: $70
- Microsoft Office Professional Plus: $80
- Microsoft Office Enterprise: $90
- Microsoft Office Mac 2004: $70
- Microsoft Office Mac 2008: – Coming Soon!
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Upgrade): $75 – Only a few left!
- Microsoft Windows Vista Business (Upgrade): $75
- Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (Upgrade): $99
You can pick up your software at the University Technology Services Information Desk, located at 1244 Blossom Street on the corner of Blossom/Sumter on the Columbia campus.
