COMD 526 - Disorders of Articulation: Evaluation and Therapy

Class Session: Tuesday, January 16, 2018 - Monday, April 30, 2018

Credit: 3 semester hours of graduate credit

Prerequisites: COMD 507 or equivalent

Course Description

The diagnosis and treatment of articulation problems in children and adults, including analysis of current research in testing and therapy for articulation disorders.


General Information

This course utilizes video streaming supplemented via Blackboard. Students can access lecture materials through Blackboard. High-speed internet access is required for video streaming.


Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

(100% asynchronous - if course has any online or face-to-face meetings, live attendance will not be required. For any such sessions, there will be alternative ways to view or obtain the material covered).


Course Materials

Textbooks are available from the USC University Bookstore in the Russell House Student Union, Greene Street, Columbia, SC, 803-777-4160 (toll free at 888-654-5320). Online text ordering is available through the bookstore Web site at www.shopgamecocks.com. Delivery options are in-store pickup or UPS shipping (Ground, Second Day, or Next Day). Students are required to indicate their course section to order online; there will be a "J" prefix on the course SECTION number for this course.
