EMCH 516 - Control Theory in Mechanical Engineering
Class Session: Tuesday, January 16, 2018 - Monday, April 30, 2018
Credit: 3 semester hours of undergraduate/graduate credit
Prerequisites: MATH 242, EMCH 330
Instructor: Victor Giurgiutiu
An introduction to closed-loop control systems; development of concepts, including transfer function, feedback, frequency response, and system stability by examples taken from mechanical engineering practice; control system design methods. Also an introduction to programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Classes will be held on Mondays & Wednesdays from 2:20pm-3:35pm in Swearingen Engineering Center room 2A11.
