EDEX 760 - Secondary Transition Assessment, Planning, and Program Development

Class Session: Monday, March 19, 2018 - Monday, April 30, 2018

Credit: 3 semester hours of graduate credit

Prerequisites: EDEX 523 or equivalent introductory course in special education.

Course Description

Foundation for understanding and using assessment information in the transition process for youth with disabilities. Specifically, students will gain knowledge in the multiple domains of transition assessment (e.g., vocational, academic, independent living, self-determination). Students will also develop and determine appropriate transition plans, programs, services, and instruction.


Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

(100% asynchronous - if course has any online or face-to-face meetings, live attendance will not be required. For any such sessions, there will be alternative ways to view or obtain the material covered).
