RHAB 700 - Introduction to Rehabilitation Counseling
Class Session: Tuesday, January 16, 2018 - Monday, April 30, 2018
Credit: 3 semester hours of graduate credit

Origin, evolution, and future of the rehabilitation counseling profession. Role and functions, scope of practice, and practice settings of rehabilitation counselors.
Course will be delivered by web conferencing utilizing Adobe Connect and Blackboard. To facilitate in-class communication when using Adobe Connect, all on-line students will be required to have a working microphone. All Students must be present, either in person or online, for the class sessions on Tuesdays, 5:15 - 8:00 pm. Students may attend classes in Medical Park 15 room B17; all other students may view classes via the Internet. For students viewing the class live online, the Adobe Connect URL will be posted in Blackboard by the instructor prior to the first class meeting. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.
On-Campus Sessions/Orientation Information
Students enrolled in Rehabilitation classes are required to attend in-person sessions on Distance Education Weekend in Fall and Spring semesters and other lab time as designated by the professor. MRC students are required to attend the Annual Student Meeting Day.
Course Delivery Type
A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.
