HIST 443 - The New South

Class Session: Tuesday, January 16, 2018 - Monday, April 30, 2018

Credit: 3 semester hours of undergraduate credit

Note: Sections for this course: P11, P12, P13, P14, P15, P16, and P19. This is a two-way video course RESTRICTED to Palmetto College Students. To access course please log in on Blackboard at HTTPS://BLACKBOARD.SC.EDU. Students may be required to be proctored during online test completion. If students are unable to attend test proctoring sessions in person at the Distributed Learning office, additional fees may apply for online test proctoring if the course requires online testing.


Course Description

Reconstruction, the Bourbon era, agrarian revolt, industrial revolution, racial problems, and the changes resulting from the impact of two world wars and the New Deal (1865-1946).


Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

(100% asynchronous - if course has any online or face-to-face meetings, live attendance will not be required. For any such sessions, there will be alternative ways to view or obtain the material covered).
