EDEX 632 - Nature of Students with Emotional and Behavior Disabilities

Class Session: Thursday, August 23, 2018 - Friday, December 07, 2018

Credit: 3 semester hours of undergraduate/graduate credit

Prerequisites: EDEX 523 or PSYC 528 or consent of instructor

Instructor: Mitchell Yell

Note: Section J10 will be for Undergraduate credit and Section J50 will be for Graduate credit only.


Course Description

Characteristics, etiology, and major theoretical models for children experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems in school; special education curriculum, programming alternatives, assessment, and issues concerning this population.


Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

(100% asynchronous - if course has any online or face-to-face meetings, live attendance will not be required. For any such sessions, there will be alternative ways to view or obtain the material covered).
