Varian GC with FID and MS
An oldie but goodie. This Varian Chrompack CP-3800 Gas Chromatograph with an FID and a Saturn 2000 MS is used for the identification and quantification of organic molecules such as lipids
Remote Water Sampler
This 48-port water sampler is built off an AquaMonitor (WS EnviroTech) and can be deployed remotely, taking samples at set times. It has been used to collect >50 L of low temperature hydrothermal fluids from Baby Bare Seamount, IODP hole 1026B, and Axial Seamount.
Our homemade freezer temperature monitors
It may not be the most exciting but we are proud of them regardless. Emma recently used a Rasberry Pi to build temperature monitors for all of the freezers and fridges in the lab.
