Degree Enhancement

There are many opportunities at USC to support your major in Film and Media Studies—from undergraduate research to study abroad and pathways to Graduation with Leadership Distinction. Explore the ways you can enhance and add value to your academic experience and work with your advisor to plan your degree in Film and Media Studies.

We're a small program in a big school, which means you'll get a lot of personal attention paired with a wide variety of opportunities. We hope all of our students will get the most out of their time here.

Our dedicated faculty members are invested in you as a student and are there to guide you through your education. We encourage you to explore all the opportunities available to you here at the University of South Carolina.

At the University of South Carolina, what you learn inside the classroom is only the beginning. Learn how Center for Integrative and Experiential Learning can connect what you learn to real life.

Students who earn Graduation with Leadership Distinction demonstrate extensive, purposeful engagement beyond the classroom; understanding of course concepts in “real world” settings; and application of learning to make decisions and solve problems: cornerstones of USC Connect.

Have you dreamt of exploring the lush, green hills of Ireland? To immerse yourself in the Japanese language and culture? To take a selfie with a camel? The entire world is your classroom, so what’s stopping you? USC offers many study abroad options.

Because the College of Arts and Sciences is part of a large university, there are options here for research funding, even if you're an undergrad.

The Office of Fellowships and Scholar Programs was established in 1994 to provide innovative educational initiatives for exceptional students. The staff facilitates the pursuit of nationally prestigious scholarships by University students and coordinates an enhanced University experience for the Carolina and McNair Scholars.

Did you know that recruiters draw approximately 40 percent of their new college hires from their internship and co-op programs? You can find more information about gaining the right work experience through the Career Center.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
