The Search for Documents

An important component of the work modern scholarly historical editions is that of searching for widely scattered documents in multiple institutional repositories and private collections and bringing them together where researchers can access them in a single place. The Papers of the Revolutionary Era Pinckney Statesmen has gathered correspondence and other records of Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, Thomas Pinckney, and Charles Pinckney from more than eighty repositories throughout the United States and Europe.
