Math Matters, Apply It! is an applied mathematics awareness campaign, created by SIAM for anyone
who wants to know more about the mathematics behind everyday life and the technologies
we encounter.
Our graduate student Inne Singgih placed first in this year's contest, and received a $250 reward
with her poster, "The Math Behind… Pleasant and Unpleasant Music"
