Written Exam

1st place — David Stoner. David is a sophomore at South Aiken High School. He won a four year USC scholarship in the amount of $8,000 per year, a $400 cash prize, and a plaque.

2nd place — Jack Wang. Jack is a junior at Porter Guad School. He won a four year USC scholarship in the amount of $4,000 per year, a $200 cash prize, and a plaque.

3rd place —  Richard Chen. Richard is a sophomore at Spring Valley High School. He won a four year USC scholarship in the amount of $2,000 per year, a $100 cash prize, and a plaque.

4th place — Gray Williams. Gray is a senior at A. C. Flora High School. He won a $50 cash prize.

5th place — Kevin Zhao. Kevin is a sophomore at Lexington High School. He won a $50 cash prize.

6th place — Daniel Monteith. Daniel is a senior at A. C. Flora High School. He won a $50 cash prize. 

Each of the Top 16 scorers on our written exam, listed below, received a medal.  We would like to congratulate these students as well as all of the students who have worked so hard and performed so well on our written exam.

Tournament

Schools are divided into two divisions based on the number of students, the number of teachers, the scope of the math program, etc. For each team, we average the top 3 written exam scores. This score is added to the score from the ciphering portion of our contest to give the team score. Trophies are awarded to the schools with the top team scores from each division.
