Ann Johnson, a longtime faculty member of the Departments of Philosophy and History at the University of South Carolina who had recently taken a position at Cornell University, died this past December at the age of 51. She is dearly missed.

Professor Johnson worked mainly in the history and philosophy of science, with a focus on engineering and technology. She received her PhD in the history of science from Princeton University. There is a brief obituary here.

A memorial service for Professor Johnson will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2017, at 2pm at Routledge Chapel on the USC Columbia campus. Everyone is welcome to attend.
