Congratulations to Chris Rorden, Julius Fridriksson and their team on landing an NIH Center grant!
The NIH has awarded a $11.1 million grant to support the Center for the Study of Aphasia Recovery. This center is focused on understanding and treating speech and language impairments that are the consequence of stroke. Professor Chris Rorden serves as project leader for the neuroimaging core as well as one of the four research projects. Professor Rutvik Desai serves as co-investigator for the neuroimaging core. This project is a collaboration with the Medical University of South Carolina, Johns Hopkins University and UC Irvine.
