Brent Simpson has received a major NSF award in collaboration with Dave Melamed. The work aims to develop and test an integrated theory of how and when generalized exchange processes promote prosociality within networks, and towards strangers, using multiple methods, including laboratory experiments, agent-based models, and macro-level data on international aid.
